Christmas in Detroit
December 25, 2014
This has been on of my favorite Christmas seasons probably of my life. I’ve had some great shows, killer friends, awesome kids and I love my wife with all my heart. The wife’s family is cool as hell and there are a lot of them. We’ve been having a good time.
Another thing I never really got the chance to do was help so many good organizations. In the last few years we’ve made some great connections with some very good Charities like the Wayne Goodfellows and Toys for Tots among a few others. This season I donated my time to DJ for both of those charities. I’ve done three Toys for Toys parties this month alone. We had a great group of people help us with our own Ugly Sweater Party to benefit Toys from Tots.
The event was a huge success, with a lot of help from from friends and a lot of area businesses we donated 25 (I think that was the final number), about 12 full boxes of toys and cash which we used to buy more toys. All of our Djs, performers and Go-Go girls donated their time for Toys for Tots. It was a great feeling and a lot of work.
Big THANK YOU to Sparrow from Front Row Bar in Southgate who let us use his bar and donated a free buffett and drink specials to people who brought toys or made a donation, Big B from LovetheBeaver.com who organized the bikes being bought and picked up and delivered, Power House Gyms (Lincoln Park, Dearborn & Brownstown), Frank Nitty Events, Tequila Cabresto, Mike Sickinger for being our Dirty Santa, Tittle Brothers Construction, RightWay Auto, Pro Wrestling All-Stars, our fabulous Pulsegroove Go-Go dancers headed up by Summer Cobb, the awesome DJs: Dock, Aich, Panic Attack, NickyBoom, Broley, Ian Strange, Aimo, Laudible, Jared Michael, Jesus, and special thank you to Flash Flood for his performance.
We even had Santa come and surprise the kids at our house. We came home from a family party and walked in the catch Santa putting presents under the tree. Santa had presents for the niece and nephews that came along, he had the gifts for our kids and read them the Night Before Christmas. I think the adults, especially my brother in law were more excited than the kids.
I hope all of you have an awesome Christmas and New Year!
